He, along with Rick Hendrick, are the co-owners of the #48 Lowe’s sponsored team, driven by Jimmie Johnson, who won the 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 Sprint Cup series championships. The Associated Press, an American news agency, has named Tiger Woods its athlete of the decade.
AP is a cooperative owned by its contributing newspapers, radio and television stations in the United States, which both contribute stories to the AP and use material written by its staff journalists.

Tiger Woods is the first golfer to win four consecutive major championships. He is the youngest placer to have won 3 green jackets, he won the US Open in 2000 by an incredible 15 shots, and he has a total of 9 major championships to his name.

In 2001 he became the first golfer in history to hold all four major titles at once. Outside of golf, Tiger is one of the greatest sports champions in history. Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has announced a special, limited edition Monaco Chronograph. The NEW Monaco1969 Original Re-Edition will count with just 1,000 pieces. It is launched in order to celebrate TAG Heuer Monaco’s 40 years of precision, immortalized by actor Steve McQueen in the film “Le Mans”. The blue-dial Monaco Re-Edition comes with an exclusive case back signed by Jack Heuer and engraved in honor of its mythical ambassador Steve McQueen.

Each of the 1,000 TAG Heuer Monaco 1969 Original Re-Edition Chronographs features a perforated leather strap with a steel buckle. The blue dial features sporty red accents on its hands, its distinctive horizontal diamond-tipped hour indices and also a hand-applied date window in polished steel. The signature of TAG Heuer honorary chairman Jack Heuer graces the stainless steel caseback.

The Tag Heuer Monaco 1969 Original Re-Edition is limited to 1,000 pieces and in contrast to the new re-engineered Monaco Calibre 12 still features the Calibre 11 movement.

The NEW Tag Heuer Monaco Concept 24 Chronograph, one of the Baselworld 2009 innovations. It features the blue and orange Gulf sign, which was the mythic Steve McQueens team.

The Monaco Concept 24 Chronograph is the latest groundbreaking. It is based on the mythic Monaco. The watch features an incredible high-tech unique tubular design which, together with extreme shock-protecting components, were both inspired by Le Mans endurance race cars. The TAG Heuer Calibre 36 movement inside the oversized (40.5mm) black PVD-coated case is suspended within a steel-tube housing very much like a race car’s driver’s protective cockpit cage and visible through the dial face and the sapphire crystal caseback.

The new Monaco Concept 24 Chronograph components were insulated against shock and torque by a composite filter material used in aerospace and auto racing. Water resistant to 100 metres, The Steve McQueen’s new model watch contains anti-reflective double-sided treatment on the curved sapphire scratch-resistant crystal glass, which is TAG Heuer’s R&D team’s most daring creation to date.

TAG Heuer has chosen Leonardo DiCaprio as the new face of the TAG Heuer Carrera watch. Even though for the last six years Tag Heuer ambassador was Brad Pitt, his contract ended on December 2008.
