Michael Phelps joined Omega CEO Stephen Urquhart for the official opening of the first-ever NYC location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April, 22nd. The magnanimous event took place in one of the brand new stores recently opened by Omega in New York placed in the Fifth Avenue.

During this exclusive event, Phelps signed and donated his personal Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch to be displayed at the store. He then spent time disassembling an Omega watch with the store’s team of watchmakers.

Later, he took time to meet and greet the many fans who had lined up outside the boutique. The day was capped off with a VIP cocktail reception where Phelps celebrated the flagship opening with Omega executives and influential New Yorkers.

According to its movement, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch features an Omega 2500 caliber, a self-winding chronometer, a Co-Axial Escapement movement with rhodium-plated finish and a power reserve of 48 hours.
